Basic planting and care for balled and burlaped trees:

Treat the burlaped root ball with care... do not drop of jar any more than necessary, the roots are the future of your trees.   The purpose of the burlap is to hold the root ball together for the short term.  Keep the  twine and burlap intact, do not remove or loosen, both will break down into the soil by late summer.
